Vanished trappist breweries

The Trappist breweries currently active in Belgium and the Netherlands are not the only ones which have ever produced Trappist beer. Indeed, several other genuine Trappist breweries produced beer in the past. It is thus possible that in the future other abbeys will decide to try the adventure, in Belgium or elsewhere.

Among the breweries which used to brew Trappist beer are these :

It seems that a Trappist brewery also existed in Africa, but we do not have any serious information on this subject. It would be the brewery of the abbey Our Lady of Mokoto in Gisenyi, Rwanda.
