Stength and delicacy

Before 1900, the monks frequently sold beer yeast to the bakers around Westmalle. They proposed two different beers to their customers : brown and white ("bruine en wit"). The trappist fathers of Westmalle now produce three different beers (3 bottled beers, but one of them is also served draught):
